The Casita Campaign
THE BUILDING IS PURCHASED. THE COMMUNITY IS READY.
WHAT'S LEFT IS THE RENOVATION.
At 94-33 Corona Avenue in Elmhurst, a future is being built — not metaphorically. It's a real building, walls and all. And once renovated, it will house every program NHS of Queens runs, finally under one roof.
The Casita isn't a building project. It's the infrastructure for resilience across a corner of Queens that represents roughly one million New Yorkers.
Dedicated rooms for housing, foreclosure prevention, and post-purchase support.
Counseling Wing
A real teaching kitchen for Icing on the Cake — our 9-week food entrepreneurship program.
Culinary Classroom
Training rooms for digital literacy, job-readiness cohorts, and ESL support.
Workforce Hub
So that childcare is never a barrier to a parent's path to economic mobility.
Kids Zone

Every household NHSQ keeps in their home is one less family in shelter. Every job placement is one less person on emergency assistance. Every foreclosure stopped is a school zone, a block, a corner that stays whole.

HELP US FINISH THE CASITA.
For 30 years, NHS of Queens has stretched every dollar — turning $1 of donor support into preserved homes, job placements, food on tables, and futures restored. The building is bought. The community is ready. Only the renovation stands between Queens and a permanent home for this work.
NHS of Queens is a 501(c)(3). All donations are tax-deductible.
