Emergency Home Repair Program

Like anything, emergency home repairs are unforeseen and can be burdensome. NHS of Queens CDC, Inc. connects eligible homeowners, if accepted, with forgivable loan programs or other options to finance emergency home repairs. NHS of Queens CDC, Inc. is currently offering one program for homeowners with 1 to 4-unit properties within the borough of Queens which is Project HELP. Below is more information but feel free to contact our office if you have any questions.

In addition, through partnership and referrals, we can facilitate access to home emergency repair financing and/or other small emergency home repair grants.

Project HELP

Neighborhood Housing Services of Queens CDC, Inc. (NHS of Queens) administers the Home Emergency Loan Program (Project HELP) for Queens’ homeowners needing emergency repairs. These funds are made available by the New York City Council and managed by the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD).
